Pricing
Fair fares, every ride.
The MotoLink fare model is built around three ideas: predictable pricing for riders, a livable cut for drivers, and a small, transparent platform fee.

The formula
Every fare is computed with the same simple expression.
fare = max(
500,
(250 base + km0..8 × 150 + km8..20 × 120 + min × 12) × surge
)
driver = fare × 0.90 · platform = fare × 0.10
- ● 12 RWF/min for time spent in traffic — drivers don't lose income to Kigali jams.
- ● Distance is capped at 20 km for the demo. Inter-city moto trips will use a separate rate.
- ● All fares displayed in Rwandan Francs (RWF), rounded to the nearest 100 RWF.
Surge multipliers
Surge is applied only when supply is genuinely tight. Riders see the multiplier before they confirm.

Who keeps what
90% to drivers. Always.
Every fare is split the same way: 90% goes to the driver's wallet, 10% covers the platform — operations, support, and the tech that makes the ride possible.
